ArmInfo. The former head of the ''Homeland-Diaspora'' SNCO, the RA Ministry of Diaspora, suspected of abuse, returned 100 million drams to the state. This was reported to ArmInfo in the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia.
"The Investigative Committee of Armenia took the necessary investigative measures to clarify all the circumstances of the case of alleged abuse by officials of the ''Homeland-Diaspora''RA state non-profit organization of the RA Ministry of Diaspora.
In the IC, it was recalled that during the preliminary investigation, in the framework of the criminal case, evidence was obtained that in 2015, as part of a tender for the implementation of the project, the SNCO rejected the application of the company, which was ready to sell it at a lower price, instead of signing a contract with two companies offering their services at higher prices, thereby causing serious damage to the state.
In addition, the department emphasizes that obvious abuses were also revealed in 2015-2018 during the implementation of contracts concluded within the tender announced in the framework of the project "Preparation, broadcast, acquisition and reproduction of television programs and videos for the Armenia- Diaspora partnership project "in the actions of individual officials of the ''Homeland -Diaspora'' SNCO during the implementation of the ''Ari Tun "grant program, as a result of which state funds were squandered on a particularly large scale. "As a result of joint measures implemented in the framework of the criminal case, the former head of SNCO of the RA Ministry of Diaspora transferred 100 million drams as partial compensation for the deposit account of the State Control Service of Armenia," the department said, adding that investigative measures are continuing the extent of the damage caused to the state, the range of persons involved, as well as the restoration of damage to the state.
According to official data, during this period, ''Homeland-Diaspora'' SNCO Foundation was headed by David Shahbazyan.
