Pavel Manukyan, member of the Sasna Tsrer group, released on bail

ArmInfo.The court released Pavel Manukyan, a member of the rebel group Sasna Tsrer, on bail of 1 million drams. Thus, Judge Mesrop Makhyan granted the petition of  Manukyan's lawyer Inessa Petrosyan and changed the measure of  restraint in respect of the latter.  Manukyan's relatives transferred  the necessary amount to the court account.

We recall that earlier the members of the Sasna Tsrer group Pavel  Manukyan and Armen Bilyan stopped the hunger strike. At the trial,  Pavel Manukyan stated that the death of his comrade Araik Khandoyan  (the Lonely Wolf), who had died of a heart attack the night before,  is a great loss. "Out of his 47 years, 30 he spent with arms in his  hands, defending his homeland," said Manukyan and called on Bilian to  also end his hunger strike. Bilyan, in turn, also stated that  Khandoyan's death was a great loss and also ended his hunger strike.

It should be noted that on October 3, during the court session,  members of the Sasna Tsrer group Pavel Manukyan and Armen Bilyan went  on a hunger strike, demanding to change the measure of restraint  against them.

It should be noted that on September 19, before the court hearing in  the case of the Sasna Tsrer group, the condition of one of the  members of the group in the case of Araik Khandoyan worsened. His  lawyer, Ara Ghazaryan, submitted to the court a medical document on  the state of health of Khandoyan, requesting for this reason to  postpone the court hearing. After that, Khandoyan went to the Erebuni  medical center for examination. Khandoyan died on the night of  October 9-10, at the age of 47, from a heart attack in the city of  Gyumri. Khandoyan was released by the court in the middle of August  2018 under the guarantee of deputies of the Tsarukyan Bloc  parliamentary faction.

Recall that on July 17, 2016, a group of armed men infiltrated the  territory of the PPS police regiment in Yerevan and held people  there. They demanded the resignation of Serzh Sargsyan, then  President of the Republic of Armenia, and the release of Zhirayr  Sefilyan, the leader of the Constituent Parliament opposition  organization, who is under arrest, accused of illegal acquisition and  possession of weapons.  During the seizure of the PPS regiment and  subsequent events, according to official figures, 46 people were  injured, of whom 26 were police officers. Three policemen were  killed, ten at various times were held by a group, seven of them had  gunshot wounds of varying severity. Seven injured - health workers.  On July 31, the National Security Service of Armenia announced the  surrender of weapons and the arrest of 20 members of an armed group.

In respect of 10 people - members of the rebel group continues the  trial. Seven of them were released on bail of deputies, today Pavel  Manukyan was released on bail. Armen Bilyan and Smbat Barseghyan are  currently under arrest.
