The Prosecutor General`s Office of Armenia opened a criminal case in relation with damage to the property and business reputation of "Qatar Airways"

ArmInfo. The Prosecutor  General's Office of Armenia opened a criminal case in connection with  damage to the property and business reputation of Qatar Airways.  ArmInfo was informed about this in the Prosecutor General's Office of  Armenia.

According to the Prosecutor General's Office of Armenia, in  accordance with the procedure established by Art. 180 181 of the RA  Criminal Code, the General Directorate of the Police for Combating  Organized Crime from the General Prosecutor's Office sent a statement  of Qatar Airways General Director Akbar Al Baker with the purpose of  preparing the materials. "During the preparation of the materials, it  was found out that on May 10, 2016 Zvartnots Handling, Cobbor Asset  Management and the Armenian branch of Qatar Airways signed an  agreement on rendering services, according to the agreement,  Zvartnots Handling promised to pay $ 13,888 on a monthly basis. Asset  Management to provide marketing services to increase the number of  tickets for regular Qatar Airways flights It turned out that  representatives of the above companies did not have the authority to  sign this document without notification and permission from Qatar  Airways. There is an  evidence that the former director of the  Armenian office of Qatar Airways hid the fact of signing an agreement  with the management of Qatar Airways, as he pursued personal business  interests in "COLBOUR ASSET MANAGEMENT", the Prosecutor General's  Office reports.

The department informs that according to the tax accounts, during the  period from May 2016 to November 2017, Zvartnots Handling transferred  "Cobbor Asset Management" to 116.440.103 drams or $ 242.335, however  executive acts on the work done were not compiled, the fact of the  work was in no way justified.  "Taking into account the fact that on  the basis of the materials prepared, data on the abuse of employees  of trade organizations by their official duties and damage to the  property and business reputation of Qatar Airways were received, on  August 31 the RA Prosecutor General's Office instituted criminal  proceedings under Article 214.1 The case was sent to the RA  Investigative Committee for preliminary investigation, "the  Prosecutor General's Office said in a statement.
