One of the participants in the attack on the mansion of the former head of the Court of Cassation turned out to be a police officer

ArmInfo. One of the perpetrators who carried out a robbery attack on the mansion of the former head of the Armenian Court of Cassation Arman Mkrtumyan is a police officer.

As reported by the press service of the police, a resident of the village of Marmarashen Mais Mkrtchyan (1985) was subjected to a drive on August 31. Mkrtchyan serves in the police in the rank of sergeant-major.  Not far from the village, in the field was discovered a Kalashnikov assault rifle, as well as a Makarov pistol, which according to preliminary information was the instrument of crime. In addition to the police officer, several more people were subjected to the drive, whose involvement in the attack is being checked.

It should be noted that according to the report of the RA Investigative Committee, on August 28 about three hours, three masked men armed with assault rifles penetrated the mansion of the former chairman of the Armenian Court of Cassation Arman Mkrtumyan in Dzorahpyur.  During the attack, Arman Mkrtumyan and his family were at home. According to preliminary data, the attackers fired several shots. One of the alleged criminals was detained and detained, while two others fled the scene of the crime. A criminal case was opened on the fact of armed robbery and illegal trafficking in arms and ammunition. It should be noted that on the same day at about 23 pm Gor M. submitted a statement to the police station of Kotayk that on August 28 about 10:00 pm, three armed masked men penetrated into the mansion in Dzorahpyura belonging to him. Gor M. and his father resisted. Gor M. with his "Walter"gas pistol was able to neutralize one of the attackers, armed machine guns. The other two disappeared.  Arrived at the scene of the operational group found that about 22 hours a resident of Gyumri 42-year-old Ryzhenko and not yet installed two other persons armed with assault rifles penetrated the indicated mansion. Encountering resistance, the unknown opened a random shooting, and then disappeared. In the courtyard of the house were found 16 7,62 mm cartridges, AKM automatic machine, a sports bag with adhesive tape and scrap.  Ryzhenko was detained. Measures have been taken to detect the two other participants in the attack.
