The medical center "Surb Grigor Lusavorich" revealed violations  amounting to 300 million AMD - they treated sick "phantoms" and not  only

ArmInfo.At the medical center "Surb Grigor Lusavorich", led by Ara Minasyan - the matchmaker of the ex-President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan, violations were revealed  following the results of the inspections. The materials were sent to the General Prosecutor's Office with the purpose of finding out the elements for the possible initiation of a criminal case. The Minister of Health of Armenia Arsen Torosyan told journalists on July 19.

In addition to technical violations, Torosyan specified, violations  were detected in terms of obtaining funds from the state budget for  the treatment of patients with phantoms. "That is, the patients did  not go to the hospital for treatment, they did not receive treatment,  but the state paid for this service," he said. Speech, as the  minister pointed out, is about payments within the social package,  the beneficiaries of which in 2016 were to undergo preventive medical  examination, for which the state pays 8 thousand drams. "90% of them  were registered for inpatient treatment, and for each of the budget  an amount of 100 to 200 thousand drams was paid," he said.

At this stage, similar facts have been revealed for the amount of 300  million drams. Soon, according to the head of the Ministry of Health,  similar checks will be conducted in a number of other medical  centers.  Perhaps, he noted, the agency will publish a list of  hospitals that are subject to verification. According to the  operational plan of inspections, he said, in particular, all major  medical centers will be checked. It is also planned to introduce the  institution of the representative of the State Health Agency in all  major hospitals.  To note, according to the Armenian media, the  Minister of Health of Armenia Arsen Torosyan intends to fire the  matchmaker Serzh Sargsyan - the director of the medical center "Surb  Grigor Lusavorich" Ara Minasyan, and appoint a friend to this post.  Earlier, the staff of the Yerevan Medical Center "Surb Grigor  Lusavorich" issued a statement demanding to stop the campaign  launched by the Ministry of Health of Armenia against the hospital.  In particular, the doctors and employees of the center consider the  political campaign a desire to displace director Ara Minasyan in the  context of allegations of abuse before the end of the audit.
