Nikol Pashinyan expressed hope that new heads of National Security  Service and Armenian Police will eradicate corruption in the country

ArmInfo. "Our revolution opens a new page in the history of Armenia." Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said live on his Facebook page, after the appointment of the head of the National Security Service - Arthur Vanetsyan and the head of the police, Valery Osipyan.

Pashinyan noted that serious results are expected from him, Valery  Osipian's appointment, according to the prime minister, is symbolic,  since before the beginning of the revolution "we and the police  representatives were on different sides of the barricade."

"I thought that this decision should become a symbolic one. We are  all on the same side after making this decision. This is very  symbolic, we should try to leave the barricades in Armenia in the  past. I hope that Valery Osipyan will justify the hopes of the  citizens of Armenia, as much depends on the police today, in  particular, ensuring order, observing the law, etc., "Pashinyan said.

As for the appointment of the head of the NSS, Pashinyan noted that  this structure, apart from other duties, should perform serious  functions in the fight against corruption.

"We must eradicate corruption in Armenia, and we must do it very  quickly." Citizens of our country should feel this every day,  assessing the activities of the heads of the police and the National  Security Service depends on the level of performance of these  functions. We will need results, people must see results, and we,  starting from this moment and subsequently evaluating the activity of  officials, we will proceed from the results they will show.The  citizens of Armenia should see the results in the near future and  should be satisfied with the work of the heads of the National  Security Service and the Police, in particular, in the spheres  Customs operations, traffic police, "- the Prime Minister said,  expressing the hope that this process will be fully provided with new  heads of the National Security Service and the Police of Armenia.
