Armenian Police spread information about the captured citizen of  Armenia Zaven Karapetyan

"Azerbaijani media spread information about the captivity of a man  named Zaven Karapetyan. As a result of the conducted checking, it was  found out that the spread data on the person coincide with the data  of Zaven Karapetyan (16.11.1974), registered in Vanadzor Nursing Home  at Maymekh street 1. Zaven Karapetyan was born in the province of Nor  Harberd. His mother was the owner of the house of disabled Harberd.  In 1978, Karapetyan entered Gavar children's home, which he left in  1982 and was transferred to a special school in Sovetashen. And in  1994, Karapetyan moved to Vanadzor, where he lived for about 4 years  in a house provided by Aznavour Foundation. With him lived another  pupil of the special school.  Then, one already lived in the house,  on the territory of the health resort Armenia, in the same Vanadzor.   Because of the  the absence of registration, since 2004 he was  registered at the address: ul. Maimekha 1 and in the same year  received a passport. After expiration of validity of the passport, I  did not apply for its exchange, " RA Police message reads. 

At the same time, it is noted that Karapetyan did not serve at Armed  Forces because of the health problems(mental illness) and by the  decree of Armenian Defense Ministry in 1993 24.12 was released from  obligatory serving. The police also note that Karapetyan led a  wandering lifestyle, he did not have a permanent residence, as he  dismantled and sold his house. "According to various sources,  Karapetyan was a hired shepherd. Avoided communication, was  withdrawn, mental retardation was on the face, "the RA Police said.

To note, on the morning of June 21, the Azerbaijani Ministry of  Defense spread information that on the evening of June 20 a  serviceman of the Armenian Armed Forces was allegedly captured on the   border of Armenia and Azerbaijan. Meanwhile, the Armenian Defense   Ministry denied this information. Later, the Azerbaijani Defense   Ministry distributed a videotape of an interrogation of a man in   civilian clothes, who worn by a Turkish-style body armor. On the  record, the man who is clearly broken, in bad Armenian gives  testimony, and because of a bad record, not all words are audible.   Among other things, the man says that he is from the village of  Dovekh, Noyemberyan district. However, in this village there never  lived a person with that name and surname. On the contrary, such a  person lived in Vanadzor. Later it became known that such a person  was registered in the house along the Maimekha highway in Vanadzor,  where the Nursing Home is located. Director of the institution  Manushak Ohanyan says that such a person does not work for them, and   does not live, but she heard something about him. In particular, the   director saw a notice in the name of Zaven Karapetyan to participate   in the elections.
