ArmInfo. USA President Donald Trump's statement on the 102nd anniversary of Armenian Genocide evidences that he continues the political line of his predecessors, Giro Minoyan, Hay-Dat ARFD offices' head stated during the press-conference in Yerevan on April 25.
"Trump made the same statement as his predecessors, he spoke about everything what happened during the Genocide, but did not say that word. A knew thing in his speech was using 'historical territories' phrase', Manoyan stated, adding that he cannot expect anything from active President on this issue, as he is an unpredictable politician.
At that, ARFD member stated that Trump showed that USA does not take the responsibility of Genocide recognition on itand has no intention to implement tense on Turkey on this issue. ?However, recently it became obvious that during the Genocide days the issue is examined only from Armenian positions, in other words that fact is not being questioned, it is spoken only about the necessity of recognition and denying policy ending from Turkish Government side', Manoyan stressed. He also noted that Turkish political situation formed after the Constitutional referendum, left Armenian-Turkish reconciliation issue in the end of priority.
What about Turkish President Erdogan's statement on Genocide's 102nd anniversary, the politician noted that it did not contained any kind og new details and was one more proof of denying policy. 'ERdogan's statement also reads about support during patriarch elections of Constantinople eparchy of former locum Aram Ateshyan, which evidences about tight relations of the latter with Turkish authorities', Manoyan said. President of the United States Donald Trump delivered an annual message to Armenians on the occasion of the Armenian Genocide in the Ottoman Empire.
