


Following the Dec 1 rally of the joint opposition coming out against the constitutional reforms and demanding a shift in power, nearly 20 people spent the night in Liberty Square, activist Gevorg Safaryan has told ArmInfo.
He says that the night was calm and the police did not try to disturb the oppositionists. At the same time, the leader of the Founding Parliament movement Zhirayr Sefilyan and the chairman of the Heritage Party Raffi Hovannisian did not spend the night in Liberty Square though Sefilyan previously stated that he would not go home until the power in the republic is shifted.
To note, the opposition will hold another rally on Dec 2, at 6 pm. The rally will be followed by a procession.
To recall, earlier the joint opposition stated its intention to launch round-the-clock actions of protests on December 1. The rallies will last till Dec 6, the day of the constitutional referendum.
