ArmInfo. The Prosecutor’s Office of Tavush Province, within the scope of its powers, filed a lawsuit demanding that the former kindergarten building be returned to the ownership of the Voskevan community. This was reported by the press service of the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Armenia.
According to the source, the prosecutor’s office examined the legality of the alienation of the former kindergarten building. The investigation revealed that the director of an LLC had provided competent community officials with false information about the establishment of a brewery on the premises of the aforementioned kindergarten building. According to the false information, the LLC was to invest 300,000 euros in the first year, and the plant was to operate for at least 10 years—until 2024. Based on the aforementioned investment program, the kindergarten building was transferred to the LLC by a decision of the council and head of the Voskevan community dated October 1, 2014; however, the conditions specified in the decision were not fulfilled, and the kindergarten building was illegally appropriated.
On August 28, 2026, the Tavush Provincial Prosecutor’s Office filed a lawsuit with the Anti-Corruption Court against the LLC, demanding that the transfer of the kindergarten building be annulled and the legal consequences arising therefrom be applied. By a decision of the Anti-Corruption Court dated September 8, 2026, the lawsuit was accepted for consideration, and an interim measure was applied prohibiting the LLC from taking any actions that could lead to a change in the actual or legal status of the property, including alienating or pledging the property in any form.
