ArmInfo. Armenia is currently not conducting any negotiations with Russia on the TRIPP project. Deputy Foreign Minister of the Republic of Armenia Mnatsakan Safaryan  stated this in a conversation with journalists on July 1.

According to him, this issue is currently not on the bilateral  Armenian-Russian agenda. At the same time, the Deputy Minister  declined to predict the future development of this project. He merely  noted that the project is being implemented within the framework of  the Eurasian Economic Union, and therefore there should be no  problems in interaction with Russia. Safaryan emphasized that Armenia  remains a member of the EAEU, and the project is being implemented in  accordance with the Union's rules. 

"The TRIPP project is currently in the implementation phase. Armenia  is currently a member of the Eurasian Economic Union, and TRIPP will  be implemented within the framework of EAEU regulations.  Customs  regulation in the EAEU is carried out by our customs authorities, so  we don't see a problem here.  We are interested in dialogue and  continuing our relations. Contacts will be established in the near  future," said the deputy minister," Safaryan.

As a reminder, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin  previously stated that the Trump Route for International Peace and  Prosperity (TRIPP) project would only benefit from Russian  participation.

On August 8, 2025, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and  Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev signed a seven-point joint  "Declaration of Peace" in Washington. It provides for a joint appeal  to the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) to  terminate the OSCE Minsk Process and related structures, as well as  the creation of a transport corridor through Armenian territory that  will connect Azerbaijan with its The Nakhichevan exclave, surrounded  by Armenia, Turkey, and Iran, was established. On January 14, 2026,  the Armenian Foreign Ministry published a framework document signed  with the American side in Washington for the implementation of the  Trump Roadmap for International Peace and Prosperity (TRIPP).

The 12-page document outlines the project's main objectives and  operating mechanisms. Among other things, the document emphasizes  Armenia's intention to authorize and support the establishment of the  TRIPP Development Company. The company is expected to be responsible  for the development of the TRIPP project, receiving an initial  development right for a period of 49 years. Armenia intends to offer  the United States a 74% stake in TRIPP Development Company, retaining  26%. This partnership is expected to be extended for another 50  years, with an additional ownership stake granted to the Armenian  government, bringing its stake to 49%.
