
ArmInfo.he Prosecutor's Office of Armenia has identified several new violations in the state registration of the lease rights for a 457.79-hectare land plot belonging to the Araratcement company, which is owned by oligarch and leader of the Prosperous Armenia Party, Gagik Tsarukyan.
According to the supervisory authority, having identified clear elements of a crime in the exercise of its authority to protect state interests, the Prosecutor's Office sent a report of the crime to the Anti-Corruption Committee on June 16, 2026. Concurrently, based on violations identified in the state registration process for the leasehold right, the Prosecutor General's Office filed a lawsuit with the Administrative Court to invalidate the state registration of the leasehold right in the name of Araratcement CJSC for a 457.79- hectare land plot.
As a reminder, the Prosecutor General's Office also identified a number of violations in the privatization of Araratcement CJSC, the acquisition of 74.1 hectares of land owned by Araratcement CJSC, and the Golden Key Sanatorium. Criminal cases have been initiated by the Anti-Corruption Committee based on these violations.
On May 5, 2026, the Prosecutor General's Office sent a letter to the Government of the Republic of Armenia proposing to discuss the violations at the company and the advisability of implementing proper management to address their consequences, including, for example, the advisability of appointing an interim manager.
The Prosecutor General's Office is conducting an investigation to establish the legality of the acquisition of other real estate owned or leased by Araratcement CJSC.
