The accumulated experience of Armenian-Russian cooperation is a long-term, fundamental, and valuable asset that is important to preserve regardless of the configuration of international relations. Armenian Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan stated this at a reception hosted by the Russian Embassy in Armenia on the occasion of Russia Day, a national holiday.
He expressed hope that existing issues and disagreements will be successfully resolved through open dialogue, and that relations between the Republic of Armenia and the Russian Federation will continue to develop in a spirit of mutual understanding, respect, and good-neighborliness for the benefit of our states and peoples.
According to the Deputy Prime Minister, Armenia and Russia are bound by centuries-old historical relations based on mutual respect, strong friendship, and close humanitarian ties between our peoples. "We highly value the history of our cooperation and are convinced that the further development of bilateral cooperation serves the interests of both countries and contributes to strengthening stability and prosperity in the region," Grigoryan said.
In his speech, he wished the Russian Federation peace, prosperity, and success, and the citizens of Russia happiness, well-being, and confidence in the future.
The Armenian side was represented at the reception by Parliament Speaker Alen Simonyan and his deputy Ruben Rubinyan. Also present were Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan, Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure David Khudatyan, and other officials.
