ArmInfo. The snap parliamentary elections have once again confirmed that the current anti-national regime is prepared to resort to any despicable measure to prolong its own power and complete the process of destroying statehood, as noted in a statement by the Council of the National Democratic Pole (NDP) posted on its Facebook page.
The Council unequivocally and categorically rejects and does not recognize the results of the June 7 parliamentary elections. The statement claims the vote was severely compromised by systemic irregularities, alleging widespread fraud, the abuse of state administrative resources, and an atmosphere of intimidation, coercion, and violence directed at citizens. According to the NDP, these pervasive violations at polling stations effectively prevented the Armenian electorate from freely expressing its political will.
"The Armenian people have not given the current regime a mandate to govern the country," the NDP statement read. "Therefore, the National Democratic Pole declares: Nikol Pashinyan is a self-proclaimed prime minister, and the government he has formed lacks any legitimacy and does not represent the will or interests of the Armenian people."
It is noted that NDP will not seek legal recourse to contest the outcome, as any potential appeals are futile. "The Pole considers initiatives to challenge the election results in the Constitutional Court to be pointless," the alliance noted. "The Constitutional Court, like the entire judicial system, is an obedient body controlled by the incumbent government; expecting justice from it is naive."
Concluding its statement, the NDP called for a shift toward civil disobedience, asserting that formal institutional channels are no longer viable. "In the current situation, the only way to safeguard national statehood is through nationwide resistance and the immediate removal of this regime from power. The National Democratic Pole continues its uncompromising struggle to build a truly sovereign and democratic Armenia."
