ArmInfo. The Central Electoral Commission has summarized the information on requests for recounts of votes received by election commissions - 555 requests for recounts have been received.
According to a message from the CEC press service received by ArmInfo, the deadline for submitting requests for recounts expired on June 9 at 11:00 AM. "Of the 38 electoral commissions, 21 have not received a single request for a recount. Seventeen electoral commissions received a total of 30 requests from representatives and candidates of the Prosperous Armenia Party, the Wings of Unity Party, and the Armenia bloc. A total of 555 requests for recounts of the precinct election results were received. The electoral commissions will summarize the received requests at their meetings convened at 12:00, and information on which precincts will undergo a recount will be published on the CEC website," the Central Election Commission stated.
It added that the electoral commissions did not receive any requests to annul the results of the vote at a polling station.
As a reminder, regular parliamentary elections were held in Armenia on June 7, 2026. Voter turnout was 58.97%. According to preliminary data from the Central Election Commission of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan's ruling Civil Contract party, Samvel Karapetyan's Strong Armenia bloc, and second president Robert Kocharyan's Armenia bloc have all entered parliament. The remaining candidates scored below the required threshold of 4% for parties and 8-10% for blocs. Notably, businessman Gagik Tsarukyan's Prosperous Armenia party lost its 4% threshold after the Central Election Commission adjusted the preliminary vote counts for the June 7 parliamentary elections. Therefore, the party will not enter the new parliament.
From early morning on election day, observers and journalists reported numerous violations by the ruling party during the voting process. Thus, Pashinyan's party has the opportunity to single-handedly form the country's government by securing a majority of seats in the Armenian parliament. This was announced solemnly by Pashinyan himself, late at night, when data from only about 10% of polling stations had been processed.
