ArmInfo. Gagik Tsarukyan, leader of the Prosperous Armenia party, will not participate in the debate of top party candidates organized tonight by Public Television, as announced by Gagik Tsarukyan's press secretary, Iveta Tonoyan, on her Facebook page.
"In response to inquiries from numerous media outlets, I am informing you that the Chairman of the Prosperous Armenia party, Gagik Tsarukyan, will not take part in the debate among the top-listed party candidates organized today by Public Television.
Today, the party will hold a major rally and meeting with our voters and compatriots at Freedom Square. Gagik Tsarukyan has chosen to be with the people on this important day, to have direct contact with citizens, to present the party's programs, vision, and proposed solutions, and to listen to the problems and concerns of the public. Furthermore, at least one of the debate participants has avoided substantive discussion throughout the entire campaign, relying instead on a lexicon of insults and accusations. This is precisely why Gagik Tsarukyan will deliver his message directly to our compatriots tonight. We invite all citizens to take part in the rally at Freedom Square. See you tonight at 7:00 PM at Freedom Square," Tonoyan wrote.
