ArmInfo. The cultural public organization Civil Art, with the support of the Bards' Club, has announced the dates of the 12th International Artistic Song Festival "Sail of Hope."
As per established tradition, the event will take place in the WishUp resort area near the village of Shorzha in the Gegharkunik region from July 17 to 19. The program includes two concert days featuring the best performers of the previous year's competition, representatives of the "top ten" from previous years, older representatives of the artistic genre, as well as renowned singer-songwriters from seven countries, including Belarus, Belgium, Estonia, Latvia, Poland, Russia, and Georgia. The festival's gala concert will take place on July 18 and will conclude with a ceremony presenting certificates, letters of appreciation, and commemorative gifts.
As the press service of the Festival organizers told ArmInfo, the Sevan stage will be preceded, as in previous years, by a selection and competition.
Applications for participation in the selection round are accepted until June 10. Both singer-songwriters and performers of other composers' works, as well as performers of other composers' works in their own interpretations, can submit applications.
The festival's primary goal is to identify emerging singer-songwriters, stimulate their creative activity, and provide them with a platform. Furthermore, the festival aims to foster a cultural environment for interaction between different generations of singer-songwriters, their fans, and the artists themselves.
