ArmInfo. The "Kamk" public initiative for the protection of Armenian values has urged the citizens of Armenia to participate in the June 7 parliamentary elections at all costs, thereby preventing the Armenian authorities from losing the last remaining piece of the Homeland. According to a statement from the initiative received by ArmInfo, "Kamk" has been fighting for years to preserve national values and interests, and continues this fight today during these fateful days when Armenian statehood and independence are at stake.
"As early as June 1, 2020—prior to the 44-day war and the loss of Artsakh—the 'Kamk' public initiative demanded the resignation of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. Just as then, we remain convinced today that a regime change is an essential prerequisite for saving Armenia. If Pashinyan and his clique remain in power, they will turn Armenia into a third Turkic state; they will subject the country to Turkification, just as was done to Artsakh," the initiative's statement noted.
In this regard, it emphasizes that the participation of at least 1,500,000 Armenian citizens in the parliamentary elections is a guarantee of a change of power. " "Participate in the elections; become one of those 1,500,000. Of course, a change of power will not immediately eliminate the existential threats looming over Armenia and the numerous challenges it faces, but it is a necessary prerequisite to halt the series of defeats and retreats, and to turn the situation around. On June 7, we can restore our national dignity and self-respect, return Armenia to the Armenians, stand up for our country, the Holy Armenian Apostolic Church (AAC), our traditions, and national values, and erase the stamp of shame that this government has branded upon our foreheads. Let us reject Pashinyan—the defender and chief lobbyist of depravity, gambling, and drug addiction—and his political force, running under number 16. Let us reject Pashinyan, who surrendered to Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and left an entire people and country at Aliyev's mercy, along with his political force under number 16," the initiative urges.
"Kamk" also noted that June 1 marks International Children's Day worldwide. In connection with this, the initiative highlighted that while their struggle has always been for Armenians and Armenia, it is first and foremost for Armenian children. They expressed conviction that June 7 will also predetermine their future. "We urge you to go to the polling stations on June 7 for their sake, preventing the current authorities from taking away the last piece of the Homeland. Dear citizens of the Republic of Armenia, we urge you once again not to panic, not to despair, not to fear, and to participate in the parliamentary elections on June 7," the initiative concluded.
