ArmInfo.Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan accused some of the clergy of plotting against Armenia.
During a campaign in the Tavush region of the republic, Pashinyan stated that if the authorities had succumbed to pressure and taken a different path in 2024, they would have lost at least half of Ijevan today. Speaking about the "Sacred Struggle" movement launched by Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan, the Prime Minister noted that what they did with the cross on their chests was a conspiracy against the state of Armenia.
"Even today, there are people with crosses who are organizing conspiracies. And if our people had followed these people with crosses, the border today would, at best, run through the middle of Ijevan. Today Ijevan is free, today Ijevan is prosperous, today there's a school in Gandzakar, today there's a school in Kirants, the children of Kirants live without any fear for their safety. "They say, 'Who's the guarantor?' I am the guarantor," the RA Prime Minister declared.
