ArmInfo. Since opposition representatives are obvious participants in crimes, they will go to jail in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Armenia and as a person with a mandate from the people. RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan told journalists this on May 15 during the election campaign in the Arabkir district of Yerevan.
According to the prime minister, he was referring to specific individuals. However, as Pashinyan noted, this is not a physical threat.
These physical threats are more directed at those who made specific statements wearing masks today. "We'll wipe them out. I'll find and eliminate all those who threaten us with machine guns on their shoulders, one by one. Law enforcement agencies will find them and send them to penal institutions," the prime minister declared, adding that similar cases had occurred in the past. Of the 23, Pashinyan noted, only three remain, and their issue will be resolved by the end of the year.
When asked by a journalist how this could happen if the ruling party loses the elections, the prime minister noted that the people will answer all questions. The journalist also asked whether it was appropriate for an Armenian man to threaten a woman. Pashinyan replied: "I wasn't threatening a woman; my threats were directed at Robik (second President of the Republic of Armenia Robert Kocharyan - ed.). Yes, I am threatening him, and I will destroy him," the prime minister said, adding that in any case, the woman should understand that she is speaking to the prime minister. "And if she doesn't realize she's speaking to a representative of the people, then I, too, tell her masters that I threaten them and will destroy them. I didn't spare my family for the sake of the people, and it wasn't I who decided that my family wouldn't die. I've told you a hundred times: the man in the trenches next to my son died, so it wasn't I who decided that my son shouldn't have died. Today, all those who threaten us are those who fled the battlefield; they are cowardly scoundrels," the RA Prime Minister noted.
It's worth noting that the propaganda campaign hasn't been without incidents and new scandalous statements. Specifically, the Prime Minister posted on his phone a group of masked individuals with machine guns slung over their shoulders making threats against the authorities. "Look at these brats. They put on masks and pose as heroes. These are the same heroes who, having shit themselves, abandoned our soldiers. Brats, take off your masks and come out, you big guys. I'll find you one by one, take off those masks, and shove them up your ass. I'll force you to your knees. Take off your masks and come voluntarily. Look at these brats Rob, Tashir, Serzhik, Gago. I'll bend you over in a bag," said an enraged Nikol Pashinyan.
In another episode involving a woman who voiced complaints against the prime minister, Pashinyan again brought up the same opposition leaders, threatening them with all kinds of punishment.
