


ArmInfo. An art event dedicated to the 111th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide in the Ottoman Empire was held at the Athens Municipality. The event was organized by the Union of Armenians in Greece in cooperation with the Athens Municipality.
According to a report received by ArmInfo, representatives of the Athens Municipality, deputy governors of the Attica region, representatives of various Greek political parties, a representative of the Armenian Embassy in Greece, and Bishop Khoren Arakelyan, Primate of the Armenian Diocese of Greece, participated in the event, titled "The People Conquer Death." The evening featured songs representing Armenian culture, excerpts from works by famous Armenian poets, and recitations in Greek. Armenian national dances were also performed.
The folk music group "Mkrtich Poghosyan" and the Armenian folk dance group "AVETIS" presented a cultural program conveying the spirit of national memory, resistance, and rebirth through Armenian culture. The event organizers emphasized that such initiatives are of great importance not only for historical justice and the preservation of national memory, but also for the viability of community life and the strengthening of ties between the diaspora and Armenia.
