


ArmInfo. Vice Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia Hakob Arshakyan participated in the inaugural Summit of Speakers and Presidents of Parliament in Budva on May 7-8 as part of the 20th plenary session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean.
As reported by the NA press service, during the official welcoming ceremony, the Assembly formally granted Observer Status to the National Parliaments of the Republic of Armenia The document was signed by Arshakyan and the President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean, Giulio Centemero. The parties underscored their shared commitment to regional stability and parliamentary cooperation, reinforcing the Assembly's role as a bridge for multilateral dialogue across neighboring geopolitical landscapes. During the event, Arshakyan delivered a speech on "Parliamentary Diplomacy as a Pillar of the Resilience of Democratic Institutions." The Deputy Speaker also held brief meetings with colleagues from various countries.
The summit was attended by parliamentary delegations from member and partner countries of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean, represented at the level of parliamentary presidents, vice- presidents, and high-ranking representatives.
