Մելիք գյուղի բնակիչները սպասում են Թուխմանուկ հանքավայրի առնչությամբ Բնապահպանության նախարարության վճռին: 


ՙԹռչնասերների կենտրոնի՚ ղեկավար Սիլվա Ադամյանն այսօր մամուլի ասուլիսի ժամանակ հայտնել է, որ մարտի 28-ին Մելիք գյուղում հանրային լսումներ են տեղի ունեցել երրորդ պոչամբարի կառուցման նախագծի շուրջ: Այդ քայլին Բնապահպանության նախարարությունը գնացել է այն բանից հետո, երբ գյուղի բնակիչներն իրենց բողոքն են հայտնել փետրվարին Երևանում հանրային լսումներ անցկացնելու առնչությամբ:


Ադամյանի խոսքով, լսումների ժամանակ գյուղացիներն իրենց մտավախություններն են հայտնել երրորդ պոչամբարի կառուցման, ինչպես նաև Թուխմանուկի հանքավայրի շահագործման առնչությամբ: Մասնավորապես, նշվել է, որ լեռնահանքային թափոնները խառնվում են ոռոգման ջրերի հետ, ինչի պատճառով բերքը ոչնչանում է: Բացի այդ, Մելքի գյուղի բնակիչները գանգատվում են առողջական խնդիրներից, այդ թվում`թուլություն և գլխապտույտ: 


Փորձագետը նշել է նաև, որ լսումների ընթացքում բնապահպաններն ուշադրությունը հրավիրել են նախագծային որոշ բացթողումների վրա: Փաստաթղթերի համաձայն, պոչամբարը գտնվելու է գյուղից 800 մետր հեռավորության վրա: Մինչդեռ գյուղացիները նշում են, որ իրականում այդ հեռավորությունը չի գերազանցում 200 մետրը:
Բացի այդ, ՙՄեգո գոլդ՚ ընկերությունը, որը ներկայացրել է հիշյալ նախագիծը, ռեկուլտիվացման աշխատանքներ չի իրականացրել Թուխմանուկի երկու`ներկայումս չգործող պոչամբարներում: Դա իր հերթին լուրջ ռիսկեր է պարունակում, քանի որ սպառնում է շրջակա միջավայր ծանր մետաղների ներթափանցմամբ:


Անցած տարի բնապահպանները Գլխավոր դատախազությանը կոչ են արել` պարզել Թուխմանուկի հանքավայրի շահագործման լիցենզիայի հետ կապված իրավիճակը: 2005 թ.ընդերքօգտագործման թույլտվության համաձայն, հանքավայրը պետք է շահագործվեր բաց եղանակով 2 տարի, ինչից հետո լեռնահանքային ընկերությունը պարտավոր էր նոր նախագիծ ներկայացնել և անցնել Թուխմանուկի փակ շահագործման: Չնայած այդ պահանջին` ՙՄեգո գոլդ՚ ընկերությունը /Global Gold Mining-ի դուստր/, բնապահպանների կարծիքով, կասկածելի միջոցներով երկարացրել է բաց շահագործման լիցենզիան: 


Ավելի վաղ ՙՀայաստանի կանաչների միության՚ ղեկավար Հակոբ Սանասարյանը նշել էր, որ պոչամբարը կառուցվելու է Քասախ գետի հունի մոտ, որտեղ կան բնակավայրեր` այգիներով, արոտավայրերով, խմելու և ոռոգման ջրի աղբյուրներով: Բացի այդ, Թուխմանուկը գտնվում է Հանքավանի ջրաբանական արգելավայրի անմիջական հարևանությամբ:
